Take a look at what’s going on across Exmoor 2022!

Exmoor is a great place to enjoy with friends and family not only because of the breath taking scenery, epic coastline and miles of countryside to explore, but also because there’s plenty going on!

Throughout the year there are lots of fantastic events to come and enjoy. Visit the Dulverton Farmers Market, which takes place on the last Saturday of each month April – September. You’ll find lots of delicious produce and quality crafts.

If you enjoy a challenge, take a look at the active challenges taking place across Exmoor hosted by Channel Events. Get involved in the Dark Skies Running Series (5km or 10km night runs), Minehead Spirit Triathlon or The Exmoor Perambulation to name a few!

We are lucky to have two steam railways in the area – The West Somerset Railway and The Lynton and Barnstaple Railway – who regularly hold special events and celebrations.

Every year the Exmoor National Park hosts the ‘Dark Skies Festival’ (Oct-Nov) with family-friendly stargazing events and activities. It was ten years ago that Exmoor’s uniquely dark skies were formally recognised by the International Dark Sky Association and the National Park became Europe’s first International Dark Sky Reserve. Recent research by CPRE, the countryside charity, demonstrates that today, 92% of Exmoor has pristine night skies, free from light pollution, and even the remaining areas have incredibly dark skies.

These and so much more!
